Taconic Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
The Club dates to 1896. The course dates to 1927. The course was designed by Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek. The course was rennovated in 2009 by Gil Hanse.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,640 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,202 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 510 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 172 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 11, a 470 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 1, a 475 yard par-5.

Some of the Par 4's are quite lengthy. Par 5's are all reasonable length. Par 3's are guarded by traps. There is very little transition from Fairways to deep rough. If you miss the fairway it's hard to hit the greens in regulation. Greens, for the most part, are large, fast, and undulating, but playable. Traps are deep. Big numbers await those who try to make up for a poor shot. Get the ball back in play and go from there!! Pro Shop and bar staff are very pleasant and accommodating.
